Lincoln-Douglas Debate (LD)

Lincoln-Douglas Debate

Lincoln Douglas debate is a values debate. This debate is run one on one rather than a pair of debaters.

There is a Fall resolution (available in Aug/Sept) and a Spring resolution (available in Dec/Jan).

This type of debating works well for those who like to compete independently and have more of an emotional flair.

Find out more about the history of the Lincoln-Douglas debates here!

NEW:  SPRING RESOLUTION!!!

Resolved:  When in conflict, human rights protection ought to supersede State sovereignty in the conduct of United States foreign policy.
